Unfortunately we made a mistake and didn't put in numbers right so the laser had to make a few passes over, causing it to burn around the edges. I'm still happy with this and I like how it looks!

Interesting effect. Have you tried masking the wood with transfer tape so it doesn't burn as much on the front & back? That's usually what I do when vector cutting wood but in this case it looks kinda cool though I'm sure it makes your hands messy.

Well... i have some projects... but first to try out if it will work out i have a modell-version of the old B-17. [link] <-- this little one.

Well... i got the plans for the rips of the main-body and the wings here. but it has to be lasered out. :/
In the end it will be a lamp. *cough* ^^,

If that would work out fine like everything else ive seen in your gallery i would like to try something special. I try to work on Custom-Made VW Busses over here in germany. Made out of wood... I try to get a laser over here for a long time to try that out. :)

If you could send me the plans, I could possibly vector them, then get them cut out. What type of wood would you want it cut out of? I know my boss has some sheets of birch sitting around, they're the same color as my star trek badges.

It would be needed to have some that wouldnt break so easy cause the ribs will later have a small aluminium-hull around and have to take the small weight of the engines... :)
